In May 2013, Graham County Land Company, LLC expanded to include a construction division which includes various types of Heavy Civil, Land Clearing, and Disaster Recovery Projects throughout the United States. Mrs. Hancock provides contract administration and oversees the daily input of the financial data for job costing purposes.

Contract Administrator - 2008 to 2013

Review contract and bid documents to determine risk to the company. Setup projects, order certificates of insurance, and obtain bonds for projects. Invoice customers and follow up on accounts receivable. IT support for the Robbinsville office and field staff. In the event of a disaster, setup onsite temporary offices and provide administrative support. Projects include:

Tornado cleanup in Joplin, Missouri (USACE - 2011)

Levee removal in Minot, North Dakota as a result of flooding (USACE - 2011)

North Dakota Oil Field (Various Customers - 2011 to 2013)

I-40 Rock Slide Repair in Maggie Valley, NC (NCDOT - 2009)

US 64 Reconstruction in Clay County, NC (NCDOT - 2010)

Office Manager – 2003 to 2008

Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Payroll for two rock quarries and a concrete plant. IT support for the Robbinsville office and field staff, as well as the two rock quarries and concrete plant.

Disaster Recovery Admin Coordinator – 2000 to 2003

Field administrator for the disaster recovery group. Coordination of office staff during the event of a disaster. IT support for the field offices. In the event of a disaster, setup onsite temporary office and provide administrative support. Issue billings for work completed, working closely with the contracting officers, and support for subcontractors. Projects include:

  • Ice storm cleanup in Hope, Arkansas (USACE - 2000)
  • Ice storm cleanup in Eufaula, Oklahoma (USACE - 2000)
  • Flooding repairs in Beckley, West Virginia (USACE - 2001)
  • Processing of debris from the World Trade Center attack, New York (USACE - 2001)
  • Ice storm cleanup in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma (USACE - 2002)
  • Turkey incineration in Shenandoah Valley, Virginia (VA Department of Environmental Quality - 2003)
